Garuda Indonesia Is Promoting East Java Tourism to Foreign Countries

This year, Garuda Indonesia Airways is promoting the East Java tourism to get visitor’s attention. “This tourism promotion has been the program of Garuda Indonesia to support Indonesian culture and tourism to be well known and attract people to come. Especially this 2010, East Java tourism is the target.” In order to introduce the east java tourism , Garuda Indonesia has been cooperating with East Java government. Like giving examples of east java’s handicraft, culture and art, or natural tourism like Bromo and Ijen crater. Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia also tries to bring the best east java traditional dancer to perform in a culture and art exhibition abroad to let east java known. Many Trees in Malang are Dying From Unidentified Disease

Many trees that grow along side the streets in Malang are not in good condition. Those trees are dying from unidentified disease.  People are suspicious that the trees have been poisoned.  Some of the tress have already died. But until now, the Malang’s Dinas Kebersihan dan Pertamanan (DKP) has not cut them down. You can see died trees on Jalan Urip sumoharjo, Kauman, Kasin, and S. Soepriadi. Drs. Peni Suparto MAP, the Major of Malang, asks the citizen to be well aware of the dead tress. Due to the bad weather in Malang lately, he asks people not to park car or vehicles under the trees. It is important for the DKP to cut those dead tress immediately. It is also urgent to plant new trees replacing old and dead trees. Garuda Indonesia Buys 24 New Planes

As the biggest Indonesian flight company, Garuda Indonesia buys 24 new planes this year. This new armada consists of 23 Boeing 737-800, and one unit of Airbus 330-200. “The procurement of new aircraft is part of the plan as many as 114 additional units of the fleet of new aircraft until 2014, and as a form of service to customers," said Director of Operations of PT Garuda Indonesia, Ari Sapari. He confirmed, that the procurement of new aircraft is part of "leasing" for the more efficient of this state-owned company operating costs, and at the same time, it will improve Garuda’s services for the customers. Singapore Airlines is also doing the “leasing'” system as a method of strengthening its fleet. In 2010, Garuda Indonesia will have 78 new airplane units. Last year, it has 62 units. Pakis Wendit Swimming Pool

I’m now living in Pakis, Malang . Before December 6th,2009, I lived in Sawojajar, with my wife’s family. It is really a shame that I don’t know Wendit . It is only about 3 kilometers from my new home. My first impression is that the pool is not as great as what people said. But that is only my first impression. The fast is: it is really a great place to visit. If you already in Malang, don’t let this nice place left unvisited. Despite of the dirty ground, you will find that Wendit is very natural. Bird’s singing, green trees, and funny monkeys. Monkeys? Yes, monkey has been the icon of Wendit. They are funny, but yet you have to be a little bit careful with them. They have been accustomed to deal with human, that’s why they seem to be very annoying. It is said that the monkey can not be taken home as a pet. Brawijaya Museum is one of the most modern and well cared Indonesian museum in Malang . It is located at the southern end of Ijen Boulevard . The Brawijaya Museum was built on May 04th, 1968 by Kolonel Pur. Dr. Soewondo. It was named as “ CITTA UTTHAPANA CAKRA ”, means Spirit Fire Spreader. This museum has 6825 m2 area space that is divided into two main areas. The show room and office room. This museum houses momentous, weapons, documents, photographs, battle plans and other stuffs related to Malang history. There is a “Tank” which was used in the Battle of Surabaya on November 10th, 1945. It is one of the most well known Brawijaya Museum's collection and it is placed in front of the museum . Garuda Indonesia Adding 7 New Flight Routes

As the biggest Indonesian flight service, Garuda Indonesia will add at least seven new international flight routes. These new flight routes include Amsterdam – on June 2010, after that the Brisbane and Taipei. In 2011, Garuda Indonesia will continue to establish the flight routes to London, Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt. This new flight route establishment is being done as a respond to the high demand from customers to fly to cities in Europe. Today, Garuda Indonesia has 24 international flight routes, spread from South Asia, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, and Middle East. Garuda Indonesia is also giving 50 domestic flight routes. Garuda Indonesia uses 67 planes to service both international and domestic flights, from Boeing 747-400, Boeing 737-500, Boeing 737-800 Next Generation, Airbus 330-200, dan Airbus 330-300.
