Many Trees in Malang are Dying From Unidentified Disease Many trees that grow along side the streets in Malang are not in good condition. Those trees are dying from unidentified disease.  People are suspicious that the trees have been poisoned.  Some of the tress have already died. But until now, the Malang’s Dinas Kebersihan dan Pertamanan (DKP) has not cut them down. You can see died trees on Jalan Urip sumoharjo, Kauman, Kasin, and S. Soepriadi.

Drs. Peni Suparto MAP, the Major of Malang, asks the citizen to be well aware of the dead tress. Due to the bad weather in Malang lately, he asks people not to park car or vehicles under the trees.

It is important for the DKP to cut those dead tress immediately. It is also urgent to plant new trees replacing old and dead trees. It becomes the citizens concern to keep Malang green and comfortable to live in

Malang’s Old Books Exhibition

Malang is known as one of Educational City beside Yogyakarta, according to the number of schools and universities in town. Although Surabaya is much larger than Malang, but people still consider Malang as the best place in East Java to get their degree. Maybe that is the reason why every book exhibition always able to get many visitors. This old book exhibition was held in front of the Velodrome a special stadium for bikers. According to some of the book sellers, for two days exhibition they could get about Rp. 250.000,00 not a small amount for them. The visitor are mostly students and young families that bring their children.
